University Update - Accommodation

After Applying for student finance I then started to look at the accommodation at Sheffield Hallam After looking through the pictures on the Sheffield Hallam website and attending an open day. I have applied for 

Victoria Hall


Residence description

Victoria Hall is a purpose-built modern complex. All flats contain either three, four or five en suite bedrooms. Each bedroom provides a bed with under-bed storage, desk, desk chair, bedside cabinet, two bookcases, wall heater, pinboard, wardrobe and full length mirror. Each flat is comprised of a kitchen with a comfortable lounge and dining area. Each communal living area comes complete with direct dial phone, corner sofa, a coffee table and a breakfast bar. There is a door entry and intercom system, management suite and a team of 24/7 caretakers. Wifi broadband internet access is included.
You need to supply your own bed linen (duvet, duvet cover, sheet, pillow and pillowcase), crockery, and cutlery, although a bedding package can be ordered directly from Victoria Hall for an additional charge.
The contract is an Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement for 44 weeks.
Please note that if you live in this particular residence allocated by Sheffield Hallam University, your accommodation contract will be with Victoria Hall Ltd.
£200 early rent payment, £25 mandatory offer admin fee (inclusive of insurance).












Leadmill Point

Residence description

Leadmill Point provides single en suite study bedrooms and premium ensuite study bedrooms which offer larger rooms and bed. The rooms are arranged in six bedroom cluster style flats which share a recently refurbished kitchen and lounge area which contains easy chairs, breakfast bar, iron, kettle and toaster. All bedrooms are fitted with a bed, bedside cabinet, built in wardrobe, desk and chair, TV aerial socket and 8Mb in-room Wi-Fi internet access. There is an on-site management office and maintenance team. The games room offers free to use pool table and table football, flat screen TV, drinks vending machines and free Wi-Fi.
You need to supply your own bed linen (duvet, duvet cover, sheet, pillow and pillowcase), towels, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.
The contract is an Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement for 44 weeks.
Please note that if you live in this particular residence allocated by Sheffield Hallam University, your accommodation contract will be with UNITE.

To work out which accommodation was best for me I used Microsoft office and created a table to compare the different accommodations



And I have applied


There will be no change in my application until my UCAS offer changes to an unconditional which means I need to pass my college course and then I will be informed of what accommodation I will have in September.
