Final 3D Model

After Colouring the templates for there 3D Pencil in Adobe Illustrator

I then printed and stuck the template to greybeard and Cut the templates for each section out.

Next Using the Glue gun I then assembled all the sections of the Pencil together

Final using metal wire and the glue gun I inserted the wire through the centre of the shapes and positioned them above each other.

Next I am going to take pictures of the model and an environment where the model could be positioned.

3D Models

Before is assembled the pencil with the central pole I positioned to different shapes on top of each other and then rearranged to look at different prospectives of the model and see how effective they can be.

I then positioned the shapes on the centre pole.

Using the carma settings I rotated the image so the pencil tip was on the ground.

I then twisted the shapes

I will now position the shapes and centre pole in different angles with the hope of making the model more eye catching. To strebgthen the prototype I will also print the coloured version of the pencil and then cut out of greyboard.

3D Card Models

After creating the propaganda poster for the creative industry i then had to extract elements of the poster and design. the images below show the different images i have gathered to use as insporation for my 3D structure

Text or icon within  the lead

(shaped Like an A)

(connect all points together)

I then used graph paper and sketched a range of designs using elements of the propaganda posters. Next I developed an idea and used 3 point prospective method of drawing to draw the 3D model. Using illustrator I then created the templates for each section of the model and printed them out.

Portfolio Presentations

After watching my fellow peers present their portfolios, I couldn't help but notice I was missing the design developments of my different projects, because I only have the final documents of my work I had no evidence of the research and design development stages.

To ensure I have the the design developments and research to show for my designs, I will start all of my projects creating mind maps, starting with sketches, in a sketch book before moving on to the computer. After each session I will then do reflective practice to evaluate the strengths weaknesses and improvements of the work I had just complete. I will then state what I will do next. The image below shows the initial designs I have started to create for college.

Infographic Propaganda Inspiration

Our first unit is to create an infographic, propaganda poster to promote how important the creative industry is and the number of jobs available and what funding the creative industry has. Using the a PDF file off the creative industries website that shows the importance of creative jobs to the UK economy (shown below). The following images below show the inspiration that I have used to start the designing stages of the poster. From my sketch designs I have identified objects that I need to take photographs of or find and create vector images of using Adobe Illustrator.
